.... All i want for Christmas
"Little Red Riding Hood" book, c.1870 from ebay it would probably fall apart in my hands and the pages turn to dust but i still want it, the illustrations are so beautiful!
I've been asking for one of these for a few years now. used to be a lot of them on ebay, now they seem to be on everyones xmas wishlist. i want it for the studio, for when i need to call upon some "special" help.
i just love his photography so much, that Dahl shoot for British Vogue that i'm still so obsessed with, and there's so much more
Patinir catalogue from the exhibition back in 2007 at the Museo Nacional del Prado, would have killed to see that show, but i'll settle for the book for now.
a taxidermied hyena head. i've wanted them way long before this annoying trend and will one day have a whole room full of them. i'll also take a porcupine, boar, fox, some big cat, crocodile, pretty much anything. more to be found here
Darth Vader Alarm Clock. i hate Star Wars but this thing is kinda cool in a nerdy way. AND it plays your ipod! sold at Urban Outfitters
Sweetheart bracelet engraved with your loved ones initials, lost at sea

PRIVATE MOON

Russian artists, Leonid Tishkov and Boris Bendikov created their own "private moon" and used it in a series of absolutely beautiful photographs. I can't get over how much i LOVE these, i wish i made them... i wish i did photography. More images and a lot more information about the pieces to be found here

Walton Ford: Pancha Tantra

I decided to treat myself and ordered a book from amazon last week and it came already! It came to me in a mangled up box with a little wee dent, but i dont even care so much, it's such a fantastic book. Full of giant colourful pages, and hardly any words except for the little narratives that inspired each painting. It's the perfect art book, and i'm so happy with it. Best thing i bought for myself in a while. Merry Christmas Peggy!

PEGGY KOUROUMALOS ON BEAUTIFUL DECAY
My beloved peggy kouromalos has made it on to beautiful decay as well. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come, maybe one day we can get a real gallery and move out of my parents basement. If not there are always plenty of tall buildings here in Kitchener Ontario.
